At 6 years old, my daughter began diving for fun at a local pool. Since she loved learning to dive, one of my friends highly recommended Pike Dive Academy to continue her instruction.
From the moment my daughter started taking those initial classes with PDA, I always felt like Pike was more than a school, but instead we were being welcomed into the family. My first introductions were to Co-Owners, Dana and Dora, who are the heart and soul of Pike. Coach Dana is such a warm, genuine person, and more organized than I could ever strive to be. PDA’s Head Coach, Dora, has a remarkable insight to recognize each child’s strengths and talents, as well as the knowledge to respond to what each child needs at different times.
Dora’s approach focuses on preparation and proper technique, so the children can learn to dive with an emphasis on safety. All of PDA’s Coaches have been so wonderful and supportive over the last several years. My younger daughter, who just turned 5, often works with Coach Amanda, whom she absolutely loves! Both of my girls are incredibly fond of her. Coach Ryan has been a tremendous asset at practices and competitions and is so kind and compassionate towards the kids.
Through diving, I have seen my girls increase in strength, balance, and coordination. However, one of the biggest rewards has been the improvements in mental focus. Diving is as much an intellectual sport as a physical one. I highly recommend Pike Dive Academy to anyone considering diving for their children. Be assured, Pike excels at providing expert instruction with a family atmosphere!

For a long time, we searched for the perfect sport and training facility for my daughter. We had tried an array of sports, for many years, and never quite found the right fit. When we discovered Pike Dive Academy, we knew immediately that this was the sport and team we were looking for!
My daughter immediately fell in love with diving. She enjoys everything about her training, her coaches, and spending time with her teammates. She looks forward to going to practice! Coach Dora not only has a wealth of experience, she has a kind and nurturing approach that helps all of her divers excel. She focuses on building a strong foundation, sets goals for each individual student, and supports them within their individual trajectories as divers.
As a parent, I am ecstatic to have found a team that is truly a family. Coach Dora reaches out to explain my daughter's goals, how to support her, and the competition process. It is wonderful to see that Coach Dora has a long term plan for my daughter. She guides her training, always monitors to see how she is doing, while simultaneously maintaining a high level of instruction and standards. It is clear that she genuinely cares about her students and we feel very lucky to have her!
The entire team, Coach Dana, Jeanie, Coach Ryan, and Coach Mandy, are all an integral part of the Pike Dive family. Their passion for creating a positive atmosphere for learning and celebrating the successes of every diver, is clearly evident. We love Pike Dive Academy!
In less than a year of instruction, my daughter has qualified for AAU Nationals, AAU Red White Blue Nationals, and USA Diving Zones.
